WELCOME TO JING WUSHU ACADEMY

Jing Wushu Academy aims to promote traditional Wu-Style Taichi for a healthier lifestyle in Singapore. The school strongly believes that Respect and Humility plays an important role in all martial arts learning, and is a key to harmonious living and a gracious society. The school does not engage in any competitions or wushu performances, and do not have any fanciful uniforms or weapons. We focus on learning the essence of Traditional Wu Taichi 108, exploring every moves and appreciating its tremendous health benefits.

THE MEANING BEHIND OUR LOGO

Designed by our Coach Dave Tai Wei Jie and his friend Ivan Yak, our logo is greatly inspired by the Taichi philosophy of Yin and Yang, where Yin relates to 柔 and Yang to 刚. Aside from the black and white colours, the brush stroke is designed to add fluidity to the logo, representing flow and 柔 part of Taijiquan.

The hand sign is drawn from the point of view of a viewer, the receiving end of the Respect. The hand is strong and firm. This means that respect is not a sign of weakness. This is the 刚.
