HELEN LEE (李慧敏)
Jing Wushu Academy is founded by HELEN LEE to fulfil her late husband’s wish to expand this Traditional Wu-Style Taichi to more people in Singapore. She lost her husband of 18 years to cancer in November 2013.
Her late husband HEE KANG NGIAP was an enthusiast in traditional Wu-Style Taichi and was a devoted student of SIFU CHAN LAI WAH. During his living years, he trained diligently and asked Helen to take on the role of promoting this traditional Wu-Style Taichi in Singapore. after his passing. He was called home to be with the Lord in November 2013.

For death ends a life but not a relationship. Helen hopes her late husband’s passion in this traditional Wu-Style Taichi would be passed on to every single student that has an affinity with the School.
Helen was the co-founder of another local wushu school (新英武艺 Years 2011-2018) and had worked with the Singapore Sports Council Sports Development as an Assistant Director, overseeing a portfolio of 20 sports, both in Elite and Mass Participation. Competed in different sports, her interest in wushu started in the early years where she learnt different types of martial arts.
She held important roles at a few Major Games Organising Committees, and personally run several local and international wushu competitions. Prior to embarking full time in her sports management career, she has over 12 years of experience in regional business development and client management in MNCs such as Thomson Reuters and SAP Asia.
Helen holds a Degree in Business Administration, a Post Graduate Diploma In Marketing, and a Diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts. She is NCAP Level 2 (National Coaching Accreditation Program), NSYS (National Standards for Youth-Sports) and First Aid certified.
